We will be doing Standardized Testing on April 17, 18, and 19. Seniors are exempted from taking the standardized tests.
School will start each day at 8:00 sharp. Students who are tardy, will not be allowed to enter the testing area until the next scheduled break occurs. It is important that students be on time. They will also need two #2 pencils. Also, please be sure that students get a good night sleep each evening before testing and eat a good breakfast.
School will be dismissed each of the test days at 11:00. Please make arrangements for your student’s transportation.

The Student Government is sponsoring a Talent Show on April 25 at 7:00 pm in the Worship Center of the Hickory Valley Community Church. Parents and guests are encouraged to attend. This is a great event to showcase the talents of many of our students.

Most of our students have registered for the ACT exam on April 13. You should have received your student’s admission ticket by now in the mail. If you have not, please contact the school offices immediately. The admission ticket will tell you where your student will be taking their exam and what items they should bring. Don’t forget, they must have a picture ID in order to gain admittance to the exam center. We can make an ID for your student if they let us know by Thursday, April 11.

The Student Government is sponsoring a Junior / Senior Banquet and Dance on Friday, April 19 from 7:00 - 10:00 pm at the Heritage House at Heritage Park in East Brainerd. The dress is semi-formal meaning girls should wear church-type dresses and guys should wear slacks, long sleeve shirts, and a tie. Students can see their SGA representative for details and tickets. Tickets are $20.00 per person.
